Impressed with the Breaking Dawn makeup when you went to see the movie? So were we! This week we’re looking at how to achieve similar effects with various brands…

Kristen Stewart’s smouldering look at the world Twilight premiere was all about the eyes and you can achieve her glam peepers too with a few simple steps.
1. Start by applying BD Dramatic Pot Liner – this comes with it’s own thin brush so you can create a sweeping line above the eye which can be as bold as you wish.

2. Using the BD Long Wear Eye Shadow in Black Marble you can build on this outline and fill the socket with dark, vampish colour, highlighting the whole area.

3. Finally sweep some BD Lash Proof Mascara over the lashes to legthen and thicken  and finish off this gorgeously gothic look.

Here’s an expert tip from the team at BD on achieving this look: “Apply the darkest shade to the inner lid close to the lashes. Use the tip of your finger or a clean brush to blend the darkest colour into a medium shade. If you need to lighten your look, sweep a light shade under the brow area and all over the lid!”

Kangol’s luxe collections incorporate an array of premium materials and shapes, mirroring the Autumn Winter shows which were awash with an assortment of headwear. Whether a pork pie shape, an animal print design, or an exaggerated wide brim, designers opted for hats to give a final flourish to the amazing texture and deep colours that are synonymous with the season.

First up is the brand’s growing Made in the USA collection, a variable feast of pattern and colour. The ever-popular Swirl Wool Siren, a wide-brimmed fedora style, and Swirl Wool Bombin, a feminine take on the bowler, are created by hand feeding two colours of wool together to give adusted finish.

The Dapper Felt and Straw styles play with mixed media in trilby, player and cloche shapes. Merging elements of straw and felt topped with grosgrain ribbon head bands makes for impressively luxdesigns. Begging to be touched, fur felt is used in animal prints on fashion-forward colette and cloche shapes and finally, classic basics are given a rich twist in thick felt and short fur.

The Made In England collection consists of a trio of premium hats created in the UK paying homage to Kangol’s British heritage. All three hats come in five different cloths with a focus on tweeds.The Ogden Check fabric has flashes of bold blue and orange woven into the otherwise grey tweed, and the Marton Melange is a rich earthy brown. Two baker boy styles are accompanied bya female counterpart – a jaunty colette named ‘Chloe’ which will give any outfit an instant edge. Opt for the accessory of the season with these heritage lines and inject a little luxury into everyday.

This particular hat (ABOVE) is one of thehighlights of the collection, nodding to Gucci’s violet fedoras that wereseen on the catwalk.  The hat is made by blending two separate wools toachieve the marbled affect and the wide brim is particularly on-trend.Other shapes and textures used in the Luxe range include colettes, cloches,trilbies and bowlers and rich tweeds, felt fur and straw. Essex TV star, Nicola Goodger has unveiled the first items to launch under her new fashion label “Nicola G”, proving she’s more than just a reality star…

Nicola found fame by appearing alongside her sister Lauren Goodger in the last season of hit ITV reality series The Only Way is Essex but she has a real passion for fashion and jewellery that’s being put to good use working with upcoming designers and artists in the UK.

And her first collection? A unique and artistic mix of affordable t-shirts with her own fun, quirky sentiments about life.  One t-shirt reads ‘My heart belongs to Essex but the rest of me is up for grabs’ – sure to go down a storm with her young, female fans in her home county of Essex.

Nicola designed the t-shirts with South Coast artist Melanie Easthope, who has a special talent for drawing “words as art” and helps bring an element of originality and sophistication to the designs.

“I wanted something that was personal but also relatable to young women everywhere. It was important to me that I helped with the whole process of getting these t-shirts off the ground including creating the words for them” Nicola explained. “The hand-drawn element of each design is very important, which is why we chose Melanie to help, and will also be reflected in the complimentary jewellery collection launching in October which has hand-stamped words.  These t-shirts are affordable, funky and they pretty much go with anything.’
