Time-honoured footwear brand Asolo is bringing walkers closer to nature this spring with the introduction of its Natural Shape range, dedicated to light trekking.
The new product line – which features four men’s and four women’s boot models – is designed to reflect the foot’s natural morphology, offering a near bespoke fit for every wearer.
Innovative in technical design, the anatomically shaped range cradles and supports the foot where needed. The waterproof and lightweight materials create maximum performance and a new comparative weight standard (up to 30% lighter than traditional hiking boots).
Fit and general comfort are the main features, with the boot designed to support the main points of impact on the foot when walking.
The light and rounded design gives gradual and controlled flexibility, resulting in a fluid movement with each stride, giving a natural feeling underfoot which allows wearers to feel more connected to the terrain.
Working in partnership with mountain sole experts Vibram, Asolo has developed a rubber outsole which reflects the Natural Shape fit. It focuses on protecting the main points of impact of the foot on the ground during take-off and landing. The EVA midsole offers support by improving foot control on the sides and back of the boot. Specially formed grooves are repeated down the centre of the sole, resulting in a smooth rolling action when trekking.
