Going to a festival for a whole weekend is so exciting; your stomach is probably doing backflips just thinking about it! However, looking good the whole time can be a little difficult. It’s do-able though, so don’t panic! These festival fashion and beauty tips will see you through:
Take a Handheld Mirror
A handheld mirror is a must. Anything larger and you’ll struggle to get your things to the campsite. You won’t want to drag it back to the car at the end of the festival either! With a handheld mirror, you’ll have to balance it on something or get one of your friends to hold it for you while you put your makeup on. Return the favour for them and they shouldn’t mind too much.
Dry Shampoo is Your Best Friend
Dry shampoo is everybody’s best friend at a festival. Not only will it get rid of any grease lurking in your mane, it’ll plump up your do and give you bundles of volume! What more could you want? Lots of girls get up in the morning, give their hair a brush, and then spritz with dry shampoo. That’s it; they’re done for the day! If you can be bothered, you could do your hair in a more elaborate style, or get one of your friends to do it for you.
Lots of Baby Wipes
Baby wipes are great for taking off makeup and body paint. Not everyone has the time or patience to take a shower at a festival either; they can be disgusting, and if you want a nice one you’ll have to pay through the nose. Wash with baby wipes instead…it’s only for a weekend! If you get really dirty, then consider taking a watering can to rinse yourself down.
Leave Expensive Clothes and Jewellery at Home
You can still look nice with the help of cheaper clothing and jewellery. Taking expensive things to a festival is a recipe for disaster! I find the best festival fashion comes from the highstreet.
Try Your Outfits on at Home
You won’t have a full length mirror, so make sure you know exactly what you’re wearing when you leave your house. Try on all of your outfits at home so you know what goes with what. Ideally, there won’t be much to them so you have less to carry.
Make Sure You’re Comfortable
Looking good is one thing, but being comfortable is another. Make sure you’re comfortable in your outfits as well as looking hot. Do not wear heels, under any circumstances.
Don’t Worry Too Much
Finally; it’s a festival! Don’t worry too much. So what if your makeup won’t go perfectly or your hair isn’t playing ball? You’re going to get messy and sweaty in the mosh pit anyway. Just develop a carefree attitude and you’ll enjoy yourself much more.
I hope you have the time of your life at this festival! Leave a comment with any good tips of your own. Thanks – see you next time!
