Sensational, sexy and sassy are the words on everyone’s lips when it comes to HOLLYOAKS! Here’s the latest news & Gossip from the show. Warning: spoilers after the jump!
This week it has been revealed that 10 characters will face the chop between now and October; a new producer has arrived on the scene and is keen to shake things up; it is said that no one is safe!
So far all we know is that two of my favourite characters are leaving; Warren Fox, the resident villain and loveable Justin.
In May explosive scenes will be aired when an old enemy re-emerges to get some serious revenge, forcing them to face their murky past.
Jamie Lomas says, “I’ve had a fantastic three years at Hollyoaks but having fully explored the character I felt the time was right for me to move on. I’m delighted to be going out as part of such a dramatic storyline, my final scenes are some of the most dramatic I’ve ever filmed and I’m sure viewers will be hooked!”
Meanwhile, Chris Fountain said, “I’ll be sad to leave as I’ve had some great times and gained a lot of good friends at work but I personally feel that it’s the right time for me, and Justin to move on… ”
But before we get to see Warren meet his match, things are going to be hotting up all over our favourite soap though, including a steamy lesbian storyline between Sarah and a newcomer and the bike race between Ash and Justin, which ends up with someone in hospital!
Also in soap-land, we’ll see Amy’s due date looming while Josh is more concerned about getting a band set up and Prom, but while he is out getting drunk Ste is looking after a fed up Amy and in the heat of the moment they finally kiss again! After giving birth with Ste by her side, Amy, who is pained with guilt, abandons her baby boy in the hospital and runs off; leaving her family, Josh and Ste arguing on who will take care of the baby.
It’s certainly going to be an exciting few months ahead, with more arguments between Justin and Ash, a new low for the McQueen’s and a serious look at the effects of bullying, through the acting of Gaz and Anita.
One of the most exciting rumours is that Roxanne McKee, who played corpse bride Louise Summers, filmed an extra scene showing she was not murdered by Warren in case she decides to come back, so could she be involved in Warren’s exit or will it be super-bitch Claire Cunningham?
Hollyoaks is aired on weekdays, Channel 4 at 6.30pm; with “first look” on E4 at 7pm.
