Hosting An Easter Party? Read This Advice First

With just under two weeks until Easter Sunday, we thought it would be a nice idea to share some party ideas with you. The event is an excellent excuse to get your friends over to your house to enjoy an afternoon of food, games and activities. It doesn’t matter what age you are; you can still enjoy a party. If you want a reason to relax with all your girlfriends, hosting an Easter party could be for you. Read this advice before you start planning.

Get balloons and party gear

Of course, a party is not a party without decorations. If Easter Sunday happens to be sunny, you can host the party in your garden. Easter decorations are quite niche, and so we suggest buying them all online. Sites such as www.balloonsgalore.co.uk sell personalized balloons. Choose a design that will suit your party so that everything looks incredible. You might also want to get some place settings, lanterns and bunting to complete the look. The more effort you make when it comes to decorating, the better your garden will look.

Decorate some eggs

You will want to have an egg decorating competition as the central focus of your party. You should blow some eggs before people come over so that you just have hollow shells. That way, people can keep the eggs that they decorate without the egg inside going rotten. At a pinch, you can use nail varnish to paint and decorate the eggs, but you can also get some arts and craft supplies from your local store. You need to appoint a judge for the competition so that someone can choose a winner. You should get a prize in advance to give to the winner of this competition.

Insist on a dress code

If everybody turns up to the party in jeans and a t-shirt, it won’t feel all that exciting. Since you are the host, you get to dictate what the rules of your party are. You might want to impose a theme, such as bunny rabbits, for the party or choose something a little more classy, such as formal wear. It is completely up to you. Send out invitations with the time, date and location of the party on them. You should also include a note advising people on what to wear for your party.

Create some non-chocolate treats

Easter is all about chocolate, but what about the people who aren’t chocoholics? You might not believe it, but there are some people out there who don’t like chocolate all that much. You need to create something for them so that they can have some snacks at the party too. Why not bake some red velvet truffles for the event? You could also make a buffet with a mix of sweet and savory delights for your guests. That way, everybody will be able to eat and enjoy the event.

Plan an Easter egg hunt

Who says that Easter egg hunts are just for children? This activity will go down a storm if you pull it off. If you have a large garden, there will be loads of places to hide the eggs in it. You can buy some chocolate eggs from the store and hide them before any of your guests arrive. That means that the only person who will know where the eggs are will be you. If you want to make things extra fun, you could write out some clues for your guests alluding to where each egg is in the garden. Remember, don’t leave the eggs out too long, or they might melt in the sun. If you follow this advice, you should have an awesome party that you and your friends will love!
