July favorites feature image

Hello, Lovelies!! Sorry I’m a bit late with my favourites, having the kids off school makes typing sooo much harder.

This year is going by so fast! I can’t believe we’re in August already! As much as I love the Summers months, I have to admit I’m quite excited about Autumn. I absolutely love Halloween and bonfire night ect..And once it gets to Autumn we can start getting ready for Christmas!! Yes, I know I said the C word in August but as most of you know, Christmas is my favourite time of year and it’s never too early to start preparing! Anyway… Here are a few of my favourite things from July…

Simply Straight Heated Ceramic Hair Straightener Brush

Untitled design (22)

It used to take me at least half an hour to straighten my hair using standard straighteners, but with this clever new brush, it only takes me around 10 minutes! Hair never seems to stay where we want it to even after spending ages styling it. I always found I would have to g over it again half way through the day. With the ceramic brush, you can touch up kinks within seconds and it fits perfectly in your handbag. Unlike normal irons, the brush will not damage your hair at all and you will be left with smooth silky straight hair. You can buy this fantastic brush HERE.

Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex

This intense, rich hair masque is a god send! After years of dying my hair and using straighteners, I was left with less than perfect locks. I have tried many products, but nothing has compared to how soft this masque has left my hair. The deep conditioning formula has made my hair so vibrant again! Not only do Shea Moisture offer fantastic hair products, but they also have a wide range of make-up and beauty products. Definitely a brand to watch! You can buy this rejuvenating hair masque HERE.

DARE Self-Help Book

Those of you who have been following me for a while will already know I suffer from mental health issues. I previously wrote my story for SANE the mental health charity HEREHaving high anxiety and panic attacks really seems to take over my life sometimes and I actually used to be very embarrassed and ashamed to talk about it. After trying various therapies, I came across this amazing book by Barry McDonagh. Not only do you get a fantastic book filled with ways to overcome anxiety, but there is also a helpful group on Facebook where you can talk to others who feel the same way. You can share tips and encourage each other to step outside your comfort zone. It really is such a lovely community of people. You can buy Barry’s Book HERE.

Amazon Fire Stick

Being a total geek, I’m always looking for a new series to watch. Now that Game Of Thrones is over for another year and I have already seen most of the series available on Sky, I was so excited when I realised just how much this clever little stick has to offer! For the bargain price of £34.99, not only do you get a massive selection of films and t.v shows, but you can even download games and apps! This means I can now listen to Spotify using the surround sound on the telly while I do my housework (Sorry Neighbours) The games are also great. Last night we had a few friends over for a Chinese and we all sat and played trivia games! My husband also loves the fact he can watch all the classic top gear episodes. Lord & Berry Lippy

Lord and Berry has quickly become one of my favourite brands of makeup. The quality is fantastic and the colours are so vibrant! I can guarantee that Once you’ve tried this beautiful collection of makeup, you will never look back. Check out their full selection HERE.

Sleek Colour Corrector Palette & Lip Crayons

Untitled design (27)

We all have those little imperfections we want to hide and the Sleek colour corrector has got to be the most effective little palette I have tried. I highly recommend neutralising and balancing any tone differences in the skin before applying your foundation to give your skin a flawless finish.

Lip Crayons

With six shades available, there is a shade for everyone’s skin tone. These luxury lip crayons give your lips a real plump look. The shades includes:

Raving Rouge

Berry Burst

Fully Fushsia

Power Pink

Colossal Coral

Notorious Nude

I love the shape of these crayons and it makes applying them really easy! Although these crayons are truly gorgeous, they don’t really last very long so you would need to keep reapplying. Luckily they are the perfect size to fit in your handbag. You can buy these and many more fantastic Sleek products HERE.

Seventeen Makeup Haul

Untitled design (28)

Ever since I first discovered makeup in my early teens, Seventeen has always stood out as a very popular brand that I trust. I absolutely love trying out any new products they bring out and to this day I have never been disappointed. Here is my latest haul…

Skin WOW Concealer

The first thing I noticed about this clever concealer pen is that instead squeezing it or twisting it like any other standard concealer, you click the top to make it come out. I really like this feature as it means you have more control over how much comes out and therefore less is wasted. Being a busy mum, concealer is definitely one of my best friends along with coffee! Rimmel Match Perfection concealer, but since trying out the Seventeen one I will most definitely be switching.

Long Lash Mascara

This mascara is amazing for lengthening lashed but I find it didn’t really give much volume. I previously used Bourjois Volume Clubbing Dramatic Look Mascara and found that it gave me the volume and thickness but no length. I decided to use the two together, applying the Seventeen long lash mascara first and then the Bourjois mascara made my lashes look incredible.

Define & Conquer Contour Kit

After watching many You-Tube videos of girls showing off many different ways contour, I always thought it looked so confusing and when I have tried these techniques myself they have never worked. However, the Seventeen contour kit is so much easier to get you head around. You simply have two shades to work with instead of a huge palette like you see on these tutorials. The contour kit gave me a really defined flawless finish.

Easy On The Eye Palette Birthday Suit

I normally prefer bright colours when it comes to eyeshadow, Having bright green eyes I find that shades of purple seem to really complement my eyes. however that being said, I do also really like bright lips and I find having bright lips and bright eyes can be a little too much. This palette has a gorgeous selection of nude shades for those days I fancy a bit of bright lippy!

The Original Makeup Eraser

Untitled design (29)

It’s so important for your skin that you always remove your makeup at the end of the day, but sometimes the chemicals you use to take your makeup off can also be quite harmful especially if you have sensitive skin like me. This is why I have totally fallen in love with this makeup eraser. This super soft cloth easily removes makeup and cleanses your pores leaving your skin feeling soft and fresh. You can buy the makeup eraser HERE.
