BlackBerry Torch in white to hit UK shores! Just when you thought the BlackBerry Torch 9800 couldn’t get any better, a white version of the hugely popular black Torch 9800 smartphone is making its UK debut and is sure to be one of the most coveted devices of the season.
Classic and stylish, the must-have handset is already a huge hit across the pond, with the likes of David Beckham being pictured using the device and it is sure to be just as popular in the UK when it becomes available here later this month. The all-white device sees a new take on the original BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone and, with a chic matt finish, is a new and fresh look to previous white BlackBerry devices.
The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is the first handset from Research in Motion to combine the new touch screen experience with an easy-to-use QWERTY keypad, offering users the best of both worlds. The BlackBerry Torch 9800 features a 5 MP camera with flash, built in GPS and Wi-Fi and pinch to zoom technology. The device also comes complete with the new BlackBerry 6 software.
BlackBerry 6 includes the best ever BlackBerry browser, expanded messaging capabilities with intuitive features to simplify the management of social networking and RSS feeds (Social Feeds), and provides integrated access to BBM (BlackBerry Messenger), Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and various instant messaging applications. Its enhanced multimedia experience rivals the best in the industry and includes a dedicated YouTube app and Podcasts app. A universal search feature allows users to quickly find content on the smartphone, as well as extend the search to the Internet or to discover applications on BlackBerry App World, which is included and now supports credit card payments.
The white BlackBerry Torch 9800 will be available in January 2011 online and in store from Phones 4 U and Vodafone.
