National Treasure: Book of Secrets

The sequel to the best historical adventure film since Harrison Ford took over our screens as Indianna Jones is due to be released next week in the US.

Now, I loved the first film and really hope this sequel is going to live up to expectations of suspense, excitement and exhileration. Fingers Crossed!!

Here’s what the official synopsis says:

In this follow up to the box-office hit “National Treasure,” treasure hunter Ben Gates (Nicolas Cage) once again sets out on an exhilarating, action-packed new global quest to unearth hidden history and treasures.

When a missing page from the diary of John Wilkes Booth surfaces, Ben’s great-great grandfather is suddenly implicated as a key conspirator in Abraham Lincoln’s death. Determined to prove his ancestor’s innocence, Ben follows an international chain of clues that takes him on a chase from Paris to London and ultimately back to America. This journey leads Ben and his crew not only to surprising revelations – but to the trail of the world’s most treasured secrets.

I have to say it sounds pretty amazing, and I just can’t wait for it to be released here in the UK. The official website www.nationaltreasure.com allows you to view the trailer which gives you a real taste of what this film is all about: Mystery, History, Action and Heros….. just my kind of thing!!

The film, for which a UK release date is yet to be announced, has ben rated a PG, so should be a great movie for all the family, old and young alike. Lets just hope it is a good as the original………
