Princess Beatrice’s Horrid Hat Sells For £81,000

A charity auction has seen the most hideous hat in history sell for a whopping £81,000. The hat designed by Philip Treacy was put on Ebay and finally finished last night after a bitter bidding war in which around 40 bidders tried to win the hat.

Amongst the bidders was alegidly Duncan Bannatyne of Dragons Den fame who was said to be “most relieved” not to have won after kicking off the charity auction with a bid of £5,000.

The only question is what the hell is someone going to do with a hat that looks like a cross between a toilet seat and a pretzel?
