After an overwhelmingly successful launch of the Mary & Clarks debut collection, Clarks combine their design philosophy and exceptional standards of craftsmanship with Mary’s distinct sense of style for the second installment this Spring Summer.
The SS12 collection infuses classic styles with the key colours of the season. The wedge, the essential sandal, the Mary Jane and the party shoe all boast an array of must-have features including on trend mirrored heels, colour pops in neon lime, textured snake prints and wearable natural shades to create a well rounded collection.
Designed for women, not girls, the collection is the result of an ongoing collaboration between Mary Portas and Clarks which has seen a panel of fashion editors, buyers and real women hone each detail of the range to make it perfect for every aspect of a busy woman’s lifestyle. The result? A wedge you can walk in and heels you can run for the bus in, but overall the perfect shoe for women who are afraid of heels and the discomfort that is often associated with them. Mary says ‘I defy anyone to say they can find a more comfortable three inch heel than mine.’
The debut collection, sold at Mary’s shop in House of Fraser and Clarks nationwide has been a huge success, with many styles selling out in the opening week. Therefore the team was really excited to get the SS12 collection on the shelves. ‘We’ve created a collection with real fashion credentials that doesn’t compromise on comfort’ says Melissa Potter, Chief Executive at Clarks.
