Summer Wines – Andrew Peace

With Summer in full swing, we’re taking a look at wines we think would be perfect for a summer drink with friends or those all important garden BBQ’s with friends and family. One of our favourites is of course Andrew Peace wines, so here’s a quick guide to a few of our fave’s!

About Andrew Peace:

“I’d like to think I’m not your typical winemaker. Since my old man, Jim, drove past the vineyard 25 years ago and bought it as an excuse to escape the from the city, the wine business has been our all consuming passion. With a fair bit of hard work from the whole family, we’ve managed to build ourselves into one of Australia’s leading family owned wineries. We love the place and I hope you can taste that in every drop of every bottle.”

Andrew’s Cabernet Sauvignon always goes down well. A hint of fresh garden mint is followed by vibrant raspberry and plum fruit flavours and a soft, smooth finish. Big, powerful and juicy, it’s a great match for strongly flavoured dishes, or delicious on its own. (Available from Asda)

Andrew’s Rosé is packed full of big, gorgeous fruity flavours making it an incredibly refreshing and easy drinking wine. It’s the perfect drink on a summer day and a great match with light savoury dishes and desserts. (Available from Co-Op)

Andrew’s Masterpeace Gold Reserve Chardonnay is refreshing and elegant, with lemon and tropical fruit flavours. Try it with warm salads, creamy pasta dishes, or chill it down and enjoy it on its own. (Available from Morrisons) This is a must have wine! It’s one that should be kept on hand at all times ready for family gatherings, BBQ’s or just enjoying over a romantic meal. Of all the fab Andrew Peace wines this one was probably our favourite!

Andrew’s Masterpeace Gold Reserve Shiraz is one of the Peace family favourites – smooth and full bodied, brimming with juicy red and black fruit flavours. This is a powerful wine, perfect for full flavoured dishes and red meats, or for those who like a big, bold red. (Available from Morrisons)
