Nestlé launch three new easy-to-recycle selection boxes: compact in size and with no plastic trays, making them perfect for Christmas stockings!
With the festive season fast approaching, Nestlé Christmas Selection boxes are hitting shelves across the country. The new style boxes are now easier to recycle than ever before, with the bulky plastic inserts being replaced by ones made from card.
Nestlé is the first major confectionery company to remove the plastic trays from their selection box packaging. In fact, Nestlé’s commitment to make products more recyclable this Christmas has seen them save almost 200 tonnes in packaging since 2007 with the boxes more compact than ever before. Don’t worry though, the number and size of the chocolate bars remains the same as previous years.
The boxes are available in three different festive designs and range from large and medium-sized gift boxes to a smaller Santa-themed selection box for younger children where all the products contain no artificial colours or flavours.
This year’s selection boxes are filled with a range of family favourites including; MILKYBAR®, MILKYBAR® Buttons, AERO®, AERO® Mint, KIT KAT® Four-finger, KIT KAT® SENSES®, SMARTIES®, TOFFEE CRISP®, ROWNTREE’S® FRUIT PASTILLES, ROWNTREE’S® TOOTY FROOTIES™ and ROWNTREE’S® JELLY TOTS ®*
Andy McQuade, Brand Manager at Nestlé Confectionery said; “We love to create a sense of occasion through our seasonal confectionery and Christmas is traditionally the time for giving gifts and sharing treats with family and friends. With our latest range of selection boxes we have tried to take the headache out of the Christmas clear-up by removing the bulky plastic trays, making them easier to recycle. Our selection boxes are both festive and recycling-friendly and we feel they are the perfect present for any chocolate fan, no matter their age!”
