During the month of April Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce offered the residents of Worcestershire the chance to put their dish on the culinary map. Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce, the famous kitchen ingredient for over 170 years is asking the British public to vote for their top ten dishes by 10th May 2008. The 10 finalists will then be invited to a live cook-off in the Lea & Perrins factory on May 15th and will be judged by a panel of prominent food journalists, the Worcestershire Mayor and local celebrities.
The winning recipe will feature in a national Lea &Perrins advertisement, win £1,000 and see their recipe join the raft of UK renowned regional specialities like the Cornish pasty, the Yorkshire Pudding, Lancashire Hotpot, Cumberland sausage and become the ‘Lea & Perrins Official Dish of Worcestershire!’
