Watch out for Gossip Girl Starring Blake Lively

Watch Out! The hit US Show Gossip Girl is set to come to ITV 2 next month and I must confess after catching half of the first season myself I am completely hooked! The show is a raunchier version of The OC with a very fashion and technology savvy cast all desperate to make an impression in their exclusive New York private school.

Blake Lively stars as Serena Van Der Woodsen, the ‘IT Girl’ of New York who everyone wants to know and is backed up by a great cast including her on/off best friend Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) and the gorgeous Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) who can’t get Serena off his mind …

The narrating voice behind the show, and resident NY Gossip columnist is the mysterious ‘Gossip Girl’ who has an uncanny knack of knowing what’s going to happen and when and is always on hand with the latest updates on our elite and wayward friends.

I love the way that the show features the very best in fashion. This works so well because it focuses on America’s richest families who can afford the real high end clothing and accessories. The characters are also regularly seen using their mobile phones and laptops, all of which are the latest in technology and design.

Despite rumours to the contrary, Blake Lively and Penn Badgley deny that they are more than just friends but they certainly do a fantastic job of making us believe differently on the show. The couple have great chemistry and Blake Lively herself reminds me a little of a young Kate Hudson, she is truly stunning there’s no denying that fact!

More eye candy for the girls comes in the form of the deliciously devilish Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) who takes great pleasure in causing havoc amongst the characters for the first half of the season but I do believe that there may just be someone with real feelings deep down amidst all that bravado.
