CSI: NY, is the smash-hit crime drama inspired by CSI: Crime Scene Investigation about forensic investigators who use high-tech science to follow the evidence and solve crimes in the Big Apple.
The second half of Season 4 begins with Mac (Gary Sinise) investigating the murder of a woman outside a floral shop and, shortly after, a man located two buildings down is found dead. With two murders two buildings apart, the CSIs must figure out if only one killer is behind both deaths.
In another suspenseful episode a drowning victim falls out of a self-cleaning restroom and what first looks like a freak accident turns into foul play and the CSIs must investigate the how’s and whys of the case. Working with an anonymous tip, the CSIs travel to an abandoned warehouse and back into the virtual world where they hope to find one of the city’s most-wanted criminals.
When a man accused of being the “Cabbie Killer” is found dead, Mac and the team must determine if the streets of New York are finally safe. In the final episode of season four Mac enters his most dangerous crime scene ever and it’s an active one. When a heist goes bad and a bank manager is shot dead, a frantic gunman takes the entire bank hostage and demands a CSI come in to prove his innocence and sets up a nerve-wracking cliff-hanger.

CSI: NY, a crime drama inspired by CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is about forensic investigators who use high-tech science to follow the evidence and solve crimes in the Big Apple.
Det. Mac Taylor (Sinise), a dedicated and driven crime-scene investigator who believes that everything is connected and everyone has a story, is a decorated Marine who served in Desert Storm and dabbled in war photography. The job is his life; he focuses on cases until they are solved. He and his partner, Stella Bonasera (Melina Kanakaredes), a well-travelled, well-educated detective, an orphan who flourished in spite of the system, share a passion for the job. Stella is a jack-of-all-trades and has an unmatched desire to find answers for the victims of violent crimes, due in part to questions about her past. They lead a team of experts through the gritty and kinetic city that never sleeps.
The team includes Danny Messer (Carmine Giovinazzo), an investigator with an unflappable spirit and a troubled family history, which he uses on the job as he blends his own set of hybrid ethics. Messer was personally selected to join the team by Mac, and he attempts daily to live up to that honour and responsibility. Sheldon Hawkes (Hill Harper) is the crime lab’s former coroner, a brilliant Ph.D. who recently made the transition to the field team. Joining them is Don Flack (Eddie Cahill), an edgy, hardcore homicide detective with a quick wit, impressive forensic insight and a long family history in law enforcement. Rounding out the team is Lindsay Monroe (Anna Belknap), a Montana native with intelligence, perseverance and a secret past.
The New York CSIs may have a different process from those in Las Vegas or Miami, but they are guided by the same steadfast determination. These skilled investigators follow the evidence as they piece together clues and eliminate doubt, to ultimately crack their cases.

Danny for me as his past comes back to haunt him and his relationship with Lindsay is fantastic to watch. Hope they get back together. Plus, he’s gorgeous :)

Gil Grissom, cool as ice never beaten
I really like Danny Messer (Carmine Giovinazzo). I used to have quite a crush on him with his sexy Italian accent and sort of italian looks. He’s a good character with quite a difficult past who would do anything to back his team and solve the crimes

Sara Sidle – seemed like the underdog somehow but always did a great job
I’m torn between Horatio – one cool cucumber or Nick Stokes – hot, very hot.
I like CSI Vegas the best and Gil Grissom is my favourite. The way he absolutely puts the job first (in front of any kind of social life) and his almost geeky love of bugs and all things scientific, he is just the most *believable* character across the whole CSI brand. No glamour etc.. he just seems real!

CSI Vegas was the first and is the best. The filming glows with neon colours against dark scenes and Grissom is just the best leading man – loads of quiet charisma without any posing.

Calleigh Duquesne, to me she embodies the true heart of all the C.S.I shows
It has to be Erik Delko – he gets conned, blackmailed and has his wages garnished. His sister is killed then he’s shot and he still goes to work everyday! What a hero!
Favourite Series CSI:NY / Favourite Character Stella Bonasera as she’s very independent and speaks her mind!

Has to be Horatio – cool and very much in control! And Miami looks fab!
horatio ofcourse , as he is ubber cool even after everything that he went through with his brother he has never turned into a bad cop and helps everyone especially young or vulnerable victims , he always promise’s to catch the bad guys and keep the victims safe and he always sticks by his word
Mac Taylor in CSI: NY. I enjoy the darker visuals of CSI: NY, and admire the single minded drive of Mac.
My fave character is Alexx from Miami, I like the way she always talks to the bodies as if they alive and she seems like a caring, kind person
