With the return of Gossip Girl to our screens, we are lusting over Serena and Blair’s fashion all over again, but what about the beautiful Vanessa? Jessica Szohr sports some amazing items both on and off camera, as well as sporting a gorgeous Ed Westwick on her arm, some girls have all the luck! We can’t give you your own Chuck Bass, but we can show you how to steal Jessica’s style!..
Jessica is known for her quirky, bright colour combinations especially in skirts and shorts. We’ve found a gorgeous monochrome Aztec print skirt from ASOS that looks almost exactly like one she has been spotted in, hurrah! A stretch cotton bodycon style, the skirt is perfect for maximising your curves and jazzing up a simple black vest.
Not just a fan of bright colours, Jessica also favours the pastels. Seen wearing a stretchy cotton dusty pink blazer when out and about with arm candy Ed Westwick, Jessica successfully dresses down some harem pants and makes it comfy, casual wear. You can do the same thanks to Miss Selfridge, who have their very own dusty pink blazer. Even better, it’s in the sale, £20, yes please!
Alongside brights, Jessica is always seen wearing jewellery in some form of another. More often than not it’s chunky, bright, statement jewellery such as cocktail rings or tribal necklaces. A good example of tribal neckwear is this gem from Topshop, which is right down Jessica’s street! A bright turquoise embellish beaded necklace, this beauty is perfect for dressing up any attire, and allows the rest of the outfit to be simple and clean.
Never one to dress drab or dark, Jessica always wears lighter coloured clothes to balance out the dark tones of her skin, hair and her colourful clothing choices! Instead of a plain white vest, Jessica is a fan of drapery and often wears off-the-shoulder, looser tops, so we’ve found the ideal option from Miss Selfridge. A cream plain crop tee, this item is perfect for pairing with tighter skirts, either tucked in or flying free!
Jessica has an array of brown bags, from a leopard print handbag to a cool vintage leather shoulder bag, and each has its own unique detail or style. To fit in with her vintage yet natural looking bag choices, we’ve found a brown cord 3-shade bag with both holdall straps and a shoulder strap; so like Jessica, you can take your pick!
We may not have her smooth and glowing skin, or her beautiful boyfriend, but now we can have her unique and quirky style, yay!
