College sweetheart and homecoming queen Elle Woods doesn’t take no for an answer. So when her boyfriend, Warner, dumps her for someone serious, Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books, and heads for Harvard Law School! Based on the hit movie of the same name starring Reese Witherspoon, Legally Blonde the Musical is the award-winning Broadway sensation created by a top-of-their-class creative team, led by Tony Award-winning director and Olivier Award-nominated choreographer Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray). This all singing, all dancing, feel good musical comedy will be the highlight of your year. Legally Blonde the Musical will take you from the social whirl of California Campus life to Harvard’s Halls of Justice with the West End’s brightest new heroine (and of course, her Chihuahua, Bruiser). The verdict? This much fun shouldn’t be legal!

We went to the Bristol Hippodrome to see Legally Blonde for ourselves and had THE best night ever. The ‘Hippodrome’  is one of our favourite theatre’s, it has a spacious stage and the seats are almost all perfect viewing . It is a great mix of intimate atmosphere, yet stunning sets, beautiful ornate décor and easy access!

This show is absolutely perfect for a girlie night out or some good family fun. It is upbeat, brilliantly designed and choreographed and every song is a catchy contagious number that will have you humming along and dancing in your seats!

We love the positive and upbeat nature of the movie. It is spirited (especially Elle herself, who just goes to show that anything is possible!) and genuinely funny with a generous helping of romance added in to the mix. Fans of the film won’t be left disappointed as there are still some of the classic scenes (like the hilarious ‘bend and snap’ routine) and some of the unforgettable one liners.

The cast are absolutely joyful to watch! They give their all, in every song and every scene with high energy routines and a beaming smile. We were particularly impressed with Faye Brookes who plays Elle Woods and Liz McClarnon (Ex Atomic Kitten) who were absolutely unforgettable in their roles. Such talent!

We were really, really impressed with how the Bristol Hippodrome had pulled out all of the stops for this production. There was pink bunting everywhere and a mini bar set up, serving the ‘bend and snap’ cocktails (which are delicious by the way, just in case you were wondering. We like to do our research thoroughly for you guys!!) they really had the atmosphere all set up from the start, so all that is left for you to do is grab the girls, mums, daughters, best friends and make a night of it!  If you are looking for a girlie night out and some fantastic fun then this is definitely the way to go.
