As many of you will know, I caught the travel bug at a pretty young age. And I love nothing more than jetting off and seeing the world in all its glory. I used to travel worldwide all the time, but I don’t do it as much as I used to anymore.

Now, one of the places I haven’t been to enough is Africa. And that’s why recently I decided to take a trip there and experience a new culture and way of life. I visited a fair few countries when I was there, and I’ve listed my favourites here for you.

First up we have Kenya. Now, there were a lot of things I loved about visiting Kenya. The people were among the nicest I’ve ever encountered, and the weather was lovely. But, I have to say, the highlight of the whole visit was when I went on a safari trip. This is something I’d always wanted to do with my life, but I’d never gotten round to it in the past. After visiting Kenya, this was something I was able to tick off my bucket list. I got to see a huge range of animals in their natural environment, including the famous ‘Big 5’.

I’m going to be honest with you; I didn’t know too much about Nigeria when I made the decision to visit Africa. It was somewhere that I’d always been aware of, but didn’t know if it had anything to offer me. It did. Before I went on my trip, I decided to visit this website and find out a little more about Nigeria as a nation. I gave me a lot of insightful and informative data, and let me know what to look out for. Nigeria is a country rich in natural beauty. It’s full of rainforests, rivers and beaches. I’d also recommend a visit to the Cross River National Park, and Olumo Rock if you want a real eye-opening experience.

South Africa

There aren’t many places I’ve been to that I’ve enjoyed as much as South Africa. There is so much to do, and it’s such a diverse nation. The food was exceptional always, and it has some of the best architecture I’ve ever seen. The weather and beaches were always the best I could have hoped for. And there’s just something about that friendly accent that’s difficult to top!

When I say the word Africa, you probably don’t think of Egypt straight away. But, in reality, Egypt is one of the crown jewels of Africa. It’s somewhere I’d always wanted to go since reading about the Egyptians as a child. And I finally got to go, and I have to say it didn’t disappoint. I finally got to lay eyes on the Great Pyramids of Giza, the last remaining of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. They truly took my breath away, and it’s an experience I will never forget. For them alone, I’m recommending Egypt to you.

Africa is such a large and diverse continent, and there’s always something on offer for everyone. But, these are a few of the best African countries that I visited. I found these places to be a cut above the rest. I was really surprised and delighted with how much I enjoyed visiting these countries. And I’d certainly recommend them again.
